This year for Christmas, my dad finally got to give everyone in the family a magic "keep things hot forever" mug that he'd been following the production of since the initial Kickstarter, of particular interest because the guys (materials science nerds from my dad's alma mater) are local. Shockingly, they had some production delays, so getting to buy the mugs as regular products had been delayed for probably a year and a half beyond what they'd originally thought, but this was finally the year!

Now that M and I both have these mugs, he's become far more interested in making tea in the evenings, a turn of events I am entirely in favor of, and (here's the truly amazing part) the tea stash is actually decreasing. There are tins that are now actually empty! I may actually have an excuse to buy more again at some point! A winter miracle!
Tonight's tea: Dorian Grey (ie, Earl Grey with a caramel finish)
Re: the rest of that picture of holiday bounty, my goal is to do a "books I've read this month" post at the end of the month as well. I'm really hoping this will be the year I finally manage to make inroads on the TBR pile again, in addition to the tea stash.
