Dear Yuletide Author,

Thank you for signing up/writing a fic for me! This is my first year participating in Yuletide as anything other than an enthusiastic reader after reveals, and unfortunately sign-ups are happening right between two big brain-taxing events for me, so forgive me if this letter isn't as detailed as it should be.

Things I like in general:

character studies, introspection, conversations and interactions - want to dig into a moment and really explore it? me too!
AUs - this is really (for me) an extension of the above, because I love seeing how characters stay themselves even when put down in a new context
small moments, unexpected little expressions of affection - the little things the characters do for each other that show they really care/get the other person, even if it doesn't fall into any standard category of romantic gesture
intimacy - which *can* include sex, but that part can also be entirely "a curtain blows" and I won't mind because I'm usually there more for the foreplay/aftermath; but this can also cover so many other scenarios I'm having a hard time narrowing down examples (see also points 1 and 3 above, they all tie together)
domesticity
casefic
futurefic

Things I'm not keen on:

kink for kink's sake and/or PWP - I don't have a lot of hard squicks, but I'm also not really in it for the smut. If the story keeps leading in that direction/the characters really want to go there, I don't object, but I need some plot/dialogue/stuff around it to make me really care.
high school AUs - nothing against teenagers, I just really want to see middle-aged adults interact at this point
mpreg/pregnancy - vague allusions to someone being pregnant? fine; detailed descriptions of pregnancy? no
darkfic - I don't mind hurt/comfort scenarios or canon levels of danger, etc., but I am a fluffy person at heart as I'm sure you can tell

Canon-specific requests/ideas, in addition to all of the above:

Under the Skin - Du Cheng/Shen Yi

any manufactured scenario in which Du Cheng might have to carry Shen Yi to make up for the fact the show simply *squandered* their height difference
anything focusing on Shen Yi as an artist

Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty - Sui Zhou/Tang Fan

Sui Zhou on some Iron Chef-style contest show at which known foodie author Tang Fan is a judge
Tang Fan at a romance writers' convention (history PhD student turned writer?) where Sui Zhou is working security but keeps getting mistaken for a book cover model, much to his mortification

Semantic Error - Chu Sangwoo/Jang Jaeyoung

AUs: alternate first meeting? non-college setting?
