My TV watching and music discovery spirals converged over the weekend, so here, the fruits of my labors in the form of a rec list:
TV show
Kimi no Hana ni Maru - the story of a fictional J-pop boyband and the burned-out former high school teacher hired to be their dorm matron. Is it a romance? That's fairly open to personal interpretation, but it is definitely a show about lost and somewhat broken people supporting each other in actually figuring out what their dreams truly are and how to follow them without breaking themselves further. (Edit: Now picked up by Netflix as I Will Be Your Bloom)
Music
-Vaundy - everything, but "Tokyo Flash" is a fun place to start (the majority of his stuff is currently streaming-only for ??? reasons, which is annoying to me personally as possibly the only person remaining on Earth with an irrational hatred of streaming music services, but his YT videos are all art in their own right anyway)
-Fujii Kaze - Love All Serve All album
-Aimer - Walpurgis album
-natori - "Overdose" (only this and one other single out so far but both very good)
