Life Stuff: Craft Organizing

I am honestly a little appalled at how much this couch-side shelf has improved my life in just the few days I've had it. It came, I put it together in about 10 minutes, had stuff off the arm of the couch and on the shelves immediately thereafter, and have felt more at peace ever since. Why did I spend so long telling myself I should be better about putting craft stuff away in a closet when admitting it needed to be out where I was using it makes things so much easier?



And then down in the dining room, which is split between my temari streaming set-up and M's airbrushing stuff for 3D-printed models, I have conceded that pandemic streaming is likely to continue for some time, so I needed a better way to deal with the sea of stuff that kept expanding around me. Being able to see the table again is quite soothing, actually! And it's nice to be able to get to the chair without having to resort to acrobatics! Shocking.



The thread isn't as organized as I'd like, since I still haven't removed the stickers from the DMC drawer boxes I got, but this is a vast improvement over what I was dealing with before, so I'll take it!

This is great! And I know what you mean about wanting things put away vs needing them around.

So far I'm trying to make a habit out of this "take 10 minutes to change something that's bothering me in the physical environment" thing I've had going on this year. I don't know how long it will actually last, but it's definitely benefiting me currently!

I may borrow that! I usually tackle those things when they bother me because... they’re bothering me... but I really want to clear my armchair and maybe five minutes of seeing where I can put all the clothes inside the weekend bag I use for storage that’s on top of it would be doable.
